China Tuesday 9 October 2012

On the map you can see the trail of the Tiger Leaping Gorge, Yunnan. There are markers for each day.

For this adventure, I teamed with a French guy, David, whom I met on the train from Dali to Lijiang. We decided to do the trek together. We were joined by two Belgians on the second day. They left us when the trail ends, back to the main road. David and I continued on the road, heading North to Shangri La. The road was really long and not so interesting. We ended up hitch hiking to go faster. We reached Haba to spend the third night. The following day (not on the map), we took a bus to Changri-La.

Check out the story and the pictures on the post (coming soon).

China Tuesday 2 October 2012

Today I rented a bicycle (obviously too small) and rode 76km by the lake Ehrai, in north-west Yunnan.

The newly paved lakeside road crosses small villages and meanders in the middle of rice paddy fields. I took a few pictures along the way, and you can click on the eastern-most marker on the map for details and statistics! Read the story

Azerbaijan Monday 16 July 2012

I really had no idea where to look for. The bus driver left me on the side of the road in the middle of this desert, and pointed to the direction of a hill by the sea. It seemed about 5 kilometres away… I started walking among the pipelines…

Georgia Saturday 7 July 2012

It’s all in the title, I knez the road wasn’t very busy, and slightly downhill.

I wanted to make this moment a little special: my first border crossed on foot, after 3 weeks in Georgia, and all the stories I had there…

Now I’m in Azerbaijan, I can read again!!!!

Georgia Friday 6 July 2012

Petite balade gentille, mais qui a bien fini de m’achevé.

Je n’ai tracé sur la carte que le chemin retour, ca permet de se faire une idée.

Georgia Wednesday 27 June 2012

I decided to do the one-day hike in the Borjomi Natural Reserve. A 13 km trail that seemed nice and easy according to the map the Visitor Centre was distributing. Read the story

Slovenia Thursday 31 May 2012

Today my host Dašo borrowed his brother’s car to take me to see the northern lake and mountains in the Triglav National Park. Triglav means Three-Headed, this is the name of the hightest mountain of Slovenia, the national symbol found on the Slovenian Flag.

United Kingdom Wednesday 16 May 2012

During my very enjoyable stay in London, I had two homes. One in Kennington with Lucio and Baylen, and the other with Daniel in Lower Clapton.

I was cycling between the two and literally crossed the whole of London from one end to another. I ran something like 50/60 km during the week… loved it!

France Thursday 10 May 2012
